The surrender of Singapore in World War 2 was Britain's greatest military defeat and the largest surrender of troops in British history. Around 80,000 British, Indian and Australian troops based in Singapore became prisoners of war. But in an amazing turn of events, the war came full circle. The victor became the vanquished and the vanquished became the victor. The fall of Singapore provides insights it into the Universal battle and the War behind all Wars.
